Rio had an acupuncture treatment with Dr. Doug yesterday. Dr. Doug added an electrical current to the treatment.

I was amazed at how much better Rio felt afterward. He had a lot more pep in his step. We will keep bringing him back for more.

Rio & Wavorly discovered wading pools this summer. We had purchased the pool when we first got Rio but he didn't seem interested in it.

Then early on this year we were walking and came across an event at Heinz Field that had a bunch of wading pools set up for dogs. Rio got in one. The rest is history.

Wavorly tends to think of it as a big water bowl.

This is why I don't have grass. Or flowers. Or strawberries. Rio loves to dig to find the cool spot in the garden. What a dirty boy.

Seen On Walk: Vulture Loving

Walking by the National Aviary we spotted this vulture dance. I don't think she is too impressed. But who knows what goes through the mind of a vulture. At least I think they are vultures. They might be condors.

Rio Gets Treated

We took Rio to Dr. Doug last Wednesday for an acupuncture treatment. It went well until Rio shifted and stuck himself with a needle. That made him stand up. We decided to keep him standing until the rest of the needles had to come out.
